We want to introduce to you some newly added pieces of equipment. We have added four 6’ long 3/4” diameter chains that weight 30lb each. We also added four 6’ long 5/8” diameter long chains that weigh 20lb each. So perhaps you are asking why? These can be implemented in the same manner as bands. They allow the weight to adjust through the range of the repetition. As the weight gets heavier toward the lockout, your body must accelerate through the entire lift to fight against the extra poundage. Because of your accelerated motion, you ultimately become more explosive. These can be implemented in a very wide variety including dips, bench press, shoulder press, squats, good mornings, deadlifts, bridge reps, and floor drags. When you choose what exercise to implement them with, the end of the chains must be close to the floor but not touching when you are in the lockout position. Here are two examples of exercises:
