Board Bench Press // Future You

Happy Friday!  Welcome to the Iron Made Gym Newsletter.  Our goal with this production is to share information with our unique community that will help you reach your goals.

Thanks to Matt Brenner for helping to manufacture four new pieces to use during bench press.  By implementing boards when benching, you can specifically target your sticking points.  Using boards also allows you to overload weight due to limited range of motion.  We have 1 board (1-1/2”), 2 board (3”), 3 board (4-1/2), and four board (6”).  The versatile part of this is you can implement these without a spotter to hold the board.  Place a weight lifting belt on and leave it loose.  Then slide the protruding 2”x 6” board through the belt in order to keep it tight on your stomach/chest.  Try it out and let us know what questions you have!
‘The person you will be in 5 years depends largely on the books you read, the people you spend time with, the food you eat, the habits you adopt, and the conversations you engage in today.’  The hard truth is your skills, talents, and relationships have taken you as far as they can.  Where you are today is a direct result of the choices you have made.  The question remains, who do YOU want to become?
