My friend Ryan sent me an article for the conjugate training system.  He just began this training style and loves it thus far.  This article goes in depth with explanations and examples.  Please find the link below and let us know what you think!

Conjugate Training System Article

In the book ‘The Daily Stoic’ by Ryan Holiday there is a passage called clarify your intentions I want to share with you.

“Let all your efforts be direct to something, let it keep that end in view.  It’s not activity that disturbs people, but false conceptions of things that drive them mad.” – Seneca

-Plan all the way to the end
-Begin with an end in mind
-Having an end in mind is no guarantee that you’ll reach it – but not having an end in mind is a guarantee you won’t.
-When your efforts are not directed at a cause or a purpose, how will you know what to do day in and day out?  How will you know what to say no to and what to say yes to?  How will you know when you’ve had enough, when you’ve reached your goal, when you’ve gotten off track, if you’ve never defined what those things are?  The answer is that you cannot.  And so you are driven into failure or worse, into madness by the oblivion of directionlessness.
-Control your perceptions
-Direct your actions properly
-Willingly accept what’s outside your control

“If you wish to improve, be content to appear clueless or stupid in extraneous matters – don’t wish to seem knowledgeable.  And if some regard you as important, distrust yourself.” – Epictetus
Until next time Iron Made Community.
